Helen is an accredited interior designer with over 25 years experience in the field. She grew up on the East Coast and moved with her family to Montreal where she began her career in banking. During this time she quickly gained the knowledge to operate a successful business. As an architectural technician she later pursued her talent in design. Helen is affiliated with starting the practice of staging homes in Toronto in the early 90s, where she quickly gained a reputation for her attention to detail. Her work was featured in the Toronto Star with the late John Boville, co-owner of the Horseshoe Valley Resort (now known as the Horseshoe Resort). Helen has a solid technical background in construction. She often frequents Paris, North Carolina and Montreal to procure upscale and unique furniture for her clients.
Snaige earned a degree in fine arts from University of Toronto. She lived in Paris for two years where she attended the prestigious École des Beaux Arts. She later co-ran a successful screen-printing business for 16 years with her partner, for which she largely oversaw the graphic design for the company. For the past 15 years, Snaige has been a bookkeeper for the interior design field, first at Raymond Chiappetta Associates and now at Gruchalla Interiors. She delivers a client-centered approach managing accounts and running day-to-day business operations. When she is not bookkeeping, Snaige is a practicing artist.
Milla’s early career interests centered on rehabilitation. She began working at the University of Toronto (U of T) and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2006, where she administered a clinical trial to enhance and enable function in older adults with dementia (published in ACM Interactions). In 2011, she made the logical transition from her creative roots in marketing communications and knowledge of built environments in clinical research to pursue a career in Interior Design. Earning a degree from Sheridan College, in addition to her B.A. from U of T, Milla brings a wealth of creativity and demonstrated technical knowledge in AutoCAD and design software. She excels in project management and client relations.
